Pittsburgh already started the season off when they played an exhibition match last Saturday where they fell short at home to Grove City 10-5.

Last season Pittsburgh posted an overall record of 11-7 and a CCLA record of 5-1. Pitt defeated DU 14-10 last year in the first round of the CCLA Playoffs but was unable to make it past Michigan State in round two where they lost by a single goal. Pittsburgh is returning many key players including one of their starting goalies Travis O'Connor, and leading Attackman Chris Wetzel, who scored 21 goals and captured 24 assists.

Vs. George Washington Colonials

Scouting George Washington
This will be the Colonials 2nd year as a program with and Joe Oprons second year as head coach. George Washington had an overall record of 4-8 and a CCLA conference record of 1-4. Nearly every player will be returning for the Colonials including the two leading scorers Charles Frattini and David Goscinak, who combined scored over half of the team's goals.

Kyle Webb will also be returning for GW as a goaltender and will be joined by two additional goalies that joined the team this year.

Scouting Davenport
DU will open up the season this Friday after inclement weather caused their trip to Ohio to be canceled last weekend.

Davenport will return a set of key players from last year for every position on the field. Among the offensive returners is All-American Attackman Dominic Boggiano, who captured 36 goals and 19 assists last season. Defender Joe Turcotte will also be coming back for his third season with DU and is has been a driving force for Chris Gervat over the last few seasons.

Earlier this week Chris Gervat was able to sign one player to the lacrosse team before their first game. New York native Kyle Hubbard joined the team Monday as the newest goalie for the Panthers.
