A Quick Look at Indiana TechThe Warriors are currently holding on to the fifth spot to the WHAC Tournament, having a one-game lead over Northwestern Ohio. BUT, Indiana Tech is still chasing fourth-place Cornerstone, which is two games ahead. The Warriors are coming off a 73-54 setback at Lawrence Tech last Saturday, having lost two of their last three games. Junior Taylor Carver leads Indiana Tech in scoring (14.2 per game) while Shallante Clements owns the rebounding department (7.7). The Warriors, altogether, combine for a 37.7 shooting percentage.
Panthers vs. WarriorsThis will be the 26th meeting between Davenport and Indiana Tech. The Warriors only win was in the second-ever clash back in 2005, when they defeated the Panthers 85-75 in Fort Wayne.
The Last Time They MetAlex Law scored a then-season-best 16 points and
Emily Severn reached double figures (12 points) as junior-freshman combo led the Panthers to an 88-62 victory over the Warriors in the Student Center last November. All five of the Panthers starters (
Kelly Dineen,
Kayleigh VanKeulen,
Kia Frazier,
Linnea Brandholm,
Daina Grazulis) had a quiet day on the floor, combining for 24 points. Despite being short-staffed with seven earning playing time, Indiana Tech out-rebounded the Panthers 40-35 and compiled a 35 shooting percentage. Alexjandra Lopez finished with 17 points, Shallante Clements and Baylee Rinehart each had 13.
